...oh hai new paltz... [Aug. 25th, 2008|10:17 am]
First day of classes.  Fun fun.  Yay for waking up at 6:45 every morning this semester.  Hello Hell.

No laptops in English Lit 1.  How fun.

I'm currently listening to Harry and the Potters.  I don't think there is a single member in the band who can actually sing.  But perhaps that's the point.  They do sing about Harry Potter, anyway.

Zzzzzzz [Jul. 23rd, 2008|11:14 am]
I had mana this morning so I'm awake.  But in that "...I could so sleep right now" kind of awake.

I've come to the conclusion that those potions rely more on their taste to wake you up than the caffeine.

We got Angel's weather this morning.  We still have power, but it was rainy =(  Sparky does not wake up well when it rains.  Bed is warm.  World is wet.  Sparky is content.  Zzzzzzzzzzz

Raid tonight.  The plan is to do Druushk if we have the right force.  We'll see.

I stole a meme from Alex.

Thief! )
Pretty accurate, I think.  A few things are more the "ideal" me, but I think that's normal in a meme.

89% sexual...  Hey there =D

This is a fun little time waster.

Alter Ego

Basically, you live a life.  You decide how you want to live it.  A bit clunky at times, but it's a lot of fun.

I'm Home! [Jul. 21st, 2008|12:27 am]
Back from the trip to Georgia.  There was lots of Rock Band.  We are addicted.  We will be getting Rock Band on Thursday.  Mwahahahahaha.

And while we were away, guess what came in the mail?

ETA:Here's a link to the nutritional info. For the curious.
What does ETA stand for?

We saw WALL-E tonight.

OMG cute.  With a nice helping of "Hey America.  You're fat.  Fix it."  Kind of don't want to eat food ever again.  But that'll go away.

For a story without much dialogue, it got its message across very clearly.  If you want to see a movie that'll make you laugh, make you a little teary-eyed, with some fun culture references in it, I highly recommend WALL-E.

Second Thoughts [Jul. 8th, 2008|01:26 pm]
[Tags|]
[mood | done]

I'm having second thoughts about being the raid leader.

Yes, it's nice to finally be able to use my EQ2 observations to help the guild progress, but trying to keep 24 special snowflakes happy for 4 straight hours is rough.  Especially when some of the snowflakes do NOT get along.

I hate when people whine at me but won't tell me what their problem is.  And then there are those winners who are more than happy to point out a flaw, but when asked what they would do to correct it, they have no answer.  Granted, I used to be one of those, and if I stopped leading raids, I'd probably fall back into that category.  But it is hella irritating.

I'm very proud of the guild.  I'm also very proud that I was the raid leader when we killed the Overking.  I was the raid leader when we killed Venril.  When we killed the Leviathan.  When we killed Kluzen.  When we killed Ekron.

But it's very stressful.  Meh.  A part of me only wants the power/knowledge that comes with the position, which is roughly the equivalent of having a job I hate that pays well.  And I know I should get out of that job.  But another part of me is immensely happy when we improve, like last night when we got Druushk to 67% in 6 minutes.

We'll see.

Spy's sapping mah sentry! [Jul. 4th, 2008|03:20 am]
So I recently purchased Team Fortress 2.  It has eaten my soul.

I suck at first person shooters, but this game is fun anyway.  It's done in a cartoony manner, so most people who play don't take it too seriously.  Though there are some hardcore players on there.

Anyway... it's good.

It's the little things [Jun. 26th, 2008|09:56 pm]
[mood | amazed]

There's nothing that will remind you how lucky you are to be carrying around 50 pound bags of materials quite like carrying 70 pounds of material.

It's amazing how much of a difference 20 pounds make.

It's also amazing how dirty one can get.  And how hard it is to get said dirt out.

[mood | sore]

I moved a bucket of Pangboon Dust today. /nod

In other news, Wii Fit is fun. And I'm as sore from doing Wii Fit as I was from doing karate that one summer where we were doing cardio stuff every class.

There's a pushup challenge where you "compete" with your trainer to see who can do more pushups. Except it's "Can you do one set of 10?" Then "Can you do 2 sets of 10?" And so on. I'm not very good at pushups, but I've done 3 sets of 10, so woo.

\o/ Pointless post!

EDIT: Ai, I found this test, and I like it better because it has scaleable answers.  Some questions I feel very "meh" about in 2 option tests and those count as much as questions that I want to scream "THIS IS ME OMGZORS!!!!11!!!!1EVELEVNTYONE!!"

I got INFP out of that one.

I Am A: Lawful Neutral Elf Ranger (2nd Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-14

Dexterity-14

Constitution-14

Intelligence-13

Wisdom-12

Charisma-14

Alignment:
Lawful Neutral A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs him. Order and organization are paramount to him. He may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or he may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot. However, lawful neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all freedom, choice, and diversity in society.

Race:
Elves are known for their poetry, song, and magical arts, but when danger threatens they show great skill with weapons and strategy. Elves can live to be over 700 years old and, by human standards, are slow to make friends and enemies, and even slower to forget them. Elves are slim and stand 4.5 to 5.5 feet tall. They have no facial or body hair, prefer comfortable clothes, and possess unearthly grace. Many others races find them hauntingly beautiful.

Class:
Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter's dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

I'm Back! [May. 25th, 2008|02:15 pm]

[mood | ecstatic]

So we just got back from the cruise, it was a lot of fun.

I kept a journal while I was on the cruise so I could remember what happened since my memory is awesome like that.  So I figured it might be fun to post a day's worth of entries every day.  I have pictures of food and people.  Maybe landscapes.  Who knows.

So if you're interested, keep an eye out.  Woo!

Well that went... better than expected.

Aced both exams today (Even though Eng Lit had some horrendously obscure quotations).  I am quite pleased by my output.

Predicting a B+ for American Lit and an A- for Eng Lit.  We'll see.

One more exam tomorrow, the one I'm least prepared for, and then that's it!

Perhaps I shouldn't have spent my day off sleeping.  Now I'm wired and I have to be up in 4 hours and 15 minutes.

And I didn't study.  Not that I'm terribly worried, but I suspect I'm driving tomorrow so I won't be able to do the QuickCram Easy A method.

...

Cruise on Saturday!  (Hoping my sister feels better.  They don't let you on the ship if you're sick D=)
